Apex Learning is a publisher of online instructional materials for secondary education.
Black Hills State University
Black Hills State University is a comprehensive, public institution with an enrollment of nearly 3,900 students. The university combines outstanding academic programs and great recreational opportunities to create the type of learning environment that is rarely offered by other institutions.
DIAL
The DIAL Virtual School is an initiative of the Dakota Interactive Academic Link consortium and began offering distance classes in 2002. The purpose of the DIAL Virtual School is to provide high quality online and interactive video class options for South Dakota students and schools. A variety of classes are available with a focus on Career and Technical Education.
E-learning Center, NSU
Northern State University’s Center for Statewide E-learning provides distance delivery of DDN and Internet-based college-prep and AP high school courses.
E-Learning Center courses are provided free to schools according to priority ratings established by the Department of Education. Priority is given to small, rural schools.
High Plains Alternative School
The High Plains Alternative School is an alternative form of education. With the help of a highly qualified teaching staff, we are able to provide a specialized educational environment that offers students flexible programs with less pressure.
Learning Power / E-learning Center
Learning Power: South Dakota Online AP Incentives Program is funded by a grant from the National Math and Science Initiative through support from Exxon-Mobil. It is led by the South Dakota Collaborative for Advanced Placement. The program provides $100 cash awards to students who complete the designated math, science, and English Advanced Placement courses and pass the end-of-course exam with a score of 3 or higher.
Mitchell Technical Institute
Mitchell Technical Institute (MTI) is one of four accredited South Dakota post-secondary technical institutes and offers a variety of diploma and Associates Degree programs. In an effort to provide additional educational opportunities to South Dakota high school students, MTI is offering selected classes that can be taken through the SD Virtual School by students regardless of their location. These dual-credit options will give high school students a “head-start” on their post-secondary education and help them better select their career pathway after high school.
North Dakota Center for Distance Education
ND CDE is one of the largest distance education schools in the nation, with over 5,000 students and over 9,000 enrollments annually. ND CDE is fully accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) and the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA).
University of Nebraska-Lincoln Independent Study High School
The University of Nebraska – Lincoln Independent Study High School is accredited by the Nebraska Department of Education and AdvancED. Approved courses provide 24/7 availability for students who wish to earn credits not offered by their local high school.
